Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern the TulipTv applications, website and related account and licensing services (together, the "Service"). By confirming the acceptance checkbox and choosing "Continue", or by installing or using TulipTv, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Accepting these Terms does not enable optional error reporting. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.
TulipTv is provided by Ginger Cat Works ("we", "us"), Verdunplein 17, G9053, 5627 SZ Eindhoven, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42139363, VAT number NL005527559B44, email contact@gingercatworks.com. In the Microsoft Store, the publisher is shown as Ginger Cat.
1. Who may use TulipTv
You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms. If you are not, a parent or legal guardian must accept them and supervise your use. TulipTv is not directed to children, and user-supplied television and video sources may contain material unsuitable for them. Parental controls are an aid, not a guarantee that all unsuitable or unrated material will be identified or blocked.
2. A player, not a content service
TulipTv is general-purpose media-player software. It reads compatible source details that you enter, such as an M3U/M3U8 URL or file, XMLTV guide, or Xtream-compatible credentials. Continue with demo downloads three licensed short sample clips and presents them in Movies, Series and Live TV to demonstrate playback. It supplies no television subscription or recording example. Demo media remains subject to the source licences; the titles, authors, source links and licence details are available in the demo credits.
We do not sell, resell, broker, endorse or recommend an IPTV or media subscription.
For the sources you supply, we do not:
- provide, host, upload, store, distribute, retransmit or sell media content;
- curate or index public sources, or search the internet for streams;
- proxy, restream, transcode, substitute or alter the media you request; or
- operate or control the third-party servers to which you direct the application.
Search and browsing operate on your supplied sources or the sample clips you add. Your device normally connects directly to your chosen provider and media hosts; TulipTv's account service does not receive or inspect your playlist credentials, catalogue or viewing activity.
3. Your source and content responsibilities
TulipTv is not designed, intended, supplied or licensed for unauthorized access to copyrighted, subscription, restricted or otherwise unlawful content.
Each time you add or use a source, you represent and agree that:
- you own the content, have a valid subscription, or otherwise hold every permission required to access, play, record and download it in your location;
- the provider is authorized to make that content available to you;
- you will follow the provider's terms, usage limits and geographic restrictions;
- you are solely responsible for the source details you enter, the content you choose, and your compliance with copyright, communications, privacy and other applicable law;
- you understand that TulipTv cannot verify and does not approve the ownership, licensing, legality, accuracy, age rating, safety or availability of a user-supplied source; and
- you will stop using any source if you no longer have authorization.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other right;
- bypass paywalls, encryption, digital-rights management, access controls, geographic controls, simultaneous-stream limits or other technical restrictions;
- share, sell, scrape, harvest or misuse credentials, access details, playlists or streams;
- distribute malware, attack or probe a system, or interfere with another user;
- retransmit, publicly perform or commercially exploit content without permission;
- misrepresent an affiliation with TulipTv or any provider; or
- do anything illegal or encourage another person to do so.
5. Recording and downloading
Recording is currently disabled. Catch-up and available download features are technical tools only. Their presence does not grant a right to copy, retain, share or replay any program. Availability depends on the source, format, device and storage. You are responsible for obtaining permission, observing private-copying and retention rules, protecting saved files, and deleting material when your rights expire.
6. Independent providers and no affiliation
Providers, playlists, portals, broadcasters, guide sources, artwork hosts, networks, device platforms and app stores are independent third parties. TulipTv is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or responsible for them. Names, logos, listings and marks displayed from source data belong to their respective owners. We do not control a third party's legality, security, catalogue, guide accuracy, stream quality, availability, billing or conduct, and disputes about those services are between you and that party.
7. Security of source details
Treat provider URLs, usernames, passwords, portal identifiers and playlist files as credentials. Do not share them publicly. Your provider receives the details needed to answer your request. You are responsible for choosing secure providers and connection methods. See the Privacy Policy for the applicable data flows.
8. Software licence
TulipTv is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, terminable only as described in section 14, to install and use the application for lawful personal use on the devices allowed by the Microsoft Store, through which TulipTv is distributed. You may not redistribute, sublicense, rent or sell the software; remove proprietary notices; or reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction. These restrictions do not limit rights granted by applicable third-party licences. Where an applicable LGPL licence requires it, you may modify TulipTv for your own use and reverse-engineer it to debug those modifications.
If Microsoft Store usage rules grant broader mandatory download, installation or device rights, those rules control to the extent of a conflict.
9. Free version, TulipTv Pro and the Microsoft Store
TulipTv is distributed only through the Microsoft Store and is free to download there. Each device gets a 30-day TulipTv Pro trial, counted by our trial service rather than the device clock, with no account needed. After the trial, every playback feature stays in the free version, which keeps one saved playlist in use: your other saved playlists are kept, not deleted, and unlock with TulipTv Pro. To use a different playlist on the free version, remove the one in use first. The demo stays available and does not count as a playlist. TulipTv Pro also adds the choice of theme.
TulipTv Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: a Microsoft Store add-on sold through the Microsoft Store, where Microsoft is the merchant. Microsoft handles checkout, payment, applicable taxes and refunds under its own terms, and the purchase belongs to your Microsoft account. We may also give TulipTv Pro free of charge with a Microsoft Store promotional code, redeemed in the Microsoft Store.
You are responsible for your account credentials and activity. Trials and licences may be limited by time, device, store account or other terms shown at acquisition. You must not evade trial or licence limits.
Purchases, refunds and taxes handled by Microsoft are also governed by the Microsoft Store's terms and refund process. A refunded TulipTv Pro purchase ends Pro on your devices: the free version applies again and nothing you saved is deleted. TulipTv Pro pays for the player only; it never includes media content or a third-party subscription.
10. Updates
TulipTv is updated through the Microsoft Store, under the Microsoft Store and Windows update settings on your device. Updates may change features for a specific security, compatibility or legal reason, or to maintain the supported operation of the application. We will provide clear advance information about material changes and notice on a durable medium where the law requires it. A change affecting paid functionality beyond a minor extent does not remove your statutory right to terminate or obtain an applicable refund. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase.
Windows builds using notice version 2026-10-07 collect limited pseudonymous technical error reports only if you enable the separate optional setting described in the Privacy Policy. Accepting these Terms does not enable reporting. You can withdraw that choice in Settings; turning it off does not affect playback, accounts or entitlement.
11. Our intellectual property and third-party software
TulipTv's original software, website, branding and materials are owned by or licensed to us. These Terms transfer no ownership to you. The application includes third-party components, including libVLC, governed by their own licences and notices distributed with the application. Those licences continue to apply to their components.
12. Copyright and rights complaints
We do not host or control user-supplied streams, so the source operator or host is normally the party able to remove content. Rights holders may nevertheless contact us at contact@gingercatworks.com with enough detail to identify the issue. We may investigate misuse of the application, suspend related TulipTv accounts, and direct the complainant to the relevant provider. We do not disclose user information except as described in the Privacy Policy or when legally required.
13. Availability and changes
We do not promise that every source, codec, stream, guide, device or configuration will work, or that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Changes to the application follow section 10. Suspension or termination follows section 14. If we discontinue a paid feature or the Service, we will give reasonable advance notice and preserve any statutory remedies, including applicable termination and refund rights. Source failures, buffering, missing listings and provider changes are outside our control; this does not excuse a failure for which we are responsible under applicable law.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, respond to credible infringement or security concerns, or address a breach of these Terms. The software licence ends automatically when you materially breach it. On termination you must stop using and remove the application, subject to any non-waivable rights you have through a store or applicable law.
15. Disclaimers
We do not guarantee the availability, legality or quality of a user-supplied source or independent third-party content. This does not exclude our obligations for the software itself. Mandatory rights to conformity, required updates and remedies for defective digital content or services continue to apply, together with any other non-waivable consumer rights.
16. Limitation of liability
We are responsible for losses caused by our breach or fault to the extent required by applicable law. We do not assume responsibility for an independent provider's conduct or your unlawful use, except to the extent our own breach or fault contributed to the loss. These Terms do not impose a time-limited purchase-value cap or exclude a class of loss for which applicable law makes us responsible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer remedies or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including compensation under Article 82 of the GDPR, fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
17. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will reimburse reasonable losses, liabilities and costs resulting from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful conduct or material breach of these Terms, to the extent attributable to your fault. Your responsibility must be established under applicable law; receiving a claim alone does not make you liable. This clause does not apply where prohibited by consumer law or to the extent a claim was caused by our own breach, negligence or wilful misconduct.
18. Changes, severability and contact
We may update these Terms. Material changes are identified by the version date and may require you to accept again before continuing. Material changes follow the notice and consumer-rights protections in section 10. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective to the extent the law allows. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, applicable store rules and any purchase terms shown to you form the agreement for the Service. The Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data.
